Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – FingerCramp’s Vergil Hitbox Guide

FingerCramp’s FightCircuit channel was recently updated with another Hit/Hurtbox guide, this time focusing on Vergil. Using the Vita version of UMvC3, this video slows down each of Vergil’s moves so you can see the absurd reach on most of them.

Well this was the nail in the coffin for me knowing that the vita is not accurate for hit spheres. Vergil hitbox video and the whole screen isn’t covered in red throughout the video? #staged

    There’s a very short active hitbox near the end of that move, as he touches the ground. When you do get hit by that, it’s a combination of that red bubble and your own character’s green. So it’s partially “your fault”.

These aren’t hitboxes, they are hitblobs.

You have to keep in mind that he is THE ONLY character that can’t cancel his whiffed normals to securise them, lefting him wide open to punishment for any bad timing. #RISK&REWARD

I usually play with a guy which was top 32 @ EVO this year. He rapes me with his Vergil for sure but still, this is not the character I don’t want to face. Well…
