Sweet, makes a nice change of pace to Big Two. Hope the turn out stays good.

VF5:FS has re-piqued my interest in 3D fighters. Looks very fluid and fun, whereas Tekken still has this stiffness to it after all these years … Not bashing Tekken, just sayin’ as a 2D fighter fan. Hope VF6 is eventually a thing.

It’s hard to go wrong with any of these games, but I will say that VF5 is the only one where I feel I can play “my” game very effectively. SCV is fun but can be quite frustrating due to some matchups (witness my salt on video), and Tekken I just can’t seem to get into no matter how hard I try. That said, you should check ‘em all out and see which one suits you best. You can probably get them all for pretty cheap these days anyway, especially VF5, which is only $15.

This tourney was awesome. Every game had a solid turnout, which was great to see. There were some hiccups, such as SCV not having all the characters unlocked, but those will be sorted out next time for sure. Big thanks to haunts and Southtown Arcade for hosting this.
