Persona 4 Arena’s Release Date Pushed Back to September 7th in Europe

According to Hitcombo.net, Persona 4 Arena’s release has been pushed back in European territories. While earlier reports slated the game for an August 31st release, Hit-combo confirmed that the game will now be coming out on September 7th. It’s a sad turn of events for European Persona fans, but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Man, it’s like they really want to hurt you guys with the region lock huh.

      Why wouldn’t they?

Well…while that sucks, it’s just a week. When I saw the headline, I was expecting November.

Knew that the August 31st was a placeholder.

However, surprised that its only a week later at September 7th.. (was expecting around early October)

Hope thats the actual release date for the Europe peeps since they have to rely on Zen United

A month later and now a week and a month. But a week is hardly a bad delay. Nothing to cry about :)

  • StickyStaines

In terms of Zen United this is a push forward

  • DigiWing

Better than what they’re used to, at least it’s a month..although waiting sucks. Stay strong Europeans.

  • Castigation

    Oh joy.

i was expecting some time next year, thank the lord

  • Tessius

Well this just means I’ll get it once the patch for 360 is done and already out, proper netplay from day one :P

  • awdoran

Could be a costly mistake. Tekken Tag 2 is out within a week of this now? Don’t know about you guys but I can only do one fighting game at a time

    • ZenTzen

Well i plan on getting them both, but thats just me

      • XaviIniesta

Me too. I’m just disappointed in the time between US and EU release, but it’s not that big a deal.

The original BlazBlue was like 9 months later in Europe, glad I imported the Japanese PS3 version but this is the first PS3 game to be region locked ever. Still, 5 weeks is nothing compared to some other games.

so because we have to wait a week longer, will we get the OST now??

  • Istillduno

Maybe a boycot for region locking won’t take too much effort if it’s being delayed to the point of getting trampled under TTT2′s iron fist. (It’s walking on it’s hands)

I almost had a fucking heart attack! I thought the delay was for NA. Huge sigh of relief

  • BeholdMyPower

Hmm, this is so close to the massive slew of games that is coming in Sept and afterwards…not sure if I’ll be able to make that purchase.

  • S. Hammadi Moulki

So they are actually challenging Namco, against the King of fighting games with P4A? You just sealed your fate with this 1, stupid fucks.

But I will probably buy this game anyways :)

Not a very smart move. Early September is when all the bigger fighter hits come out. TTT2, DOA5… I see very little people in Australia buying P4 Arena when the bigger titles are releasing. Course, as a fighter fanatic I’ll buy all three of them… but I feel it will hinder my online playability. I know for a fact everyone here will choose DOA5 & TTT2 over P4 Arena. Silly move Zen United. Silly move.
