Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 Guy Combo Guide

RyuApprentice is back with another great Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 combo guide, this time shedding some light on Guy. Like Cody, Guy is a slightly underutilized character who, similar to much of the cast, can be very dangerous in capable hands. While a bit less detailed than his earlier guides, this is still a good place to start if you’re looking to pick up the character.

Unfortunately, most of those combos are useless. I’m sure if it was redundant to express that because I’m not sure if a combo guide = combo video. Combo guide seems like it would be practical though :/

I tried to be a Guy player before and playing with him it is to much work with little pay. he really good only for anti air and confuse them like El Furte. plus this weird combo when you use that EX ball attack into dropping elbow then use 2ND ultra. i use to fuck people over with that shit when they pick Ryu because i played against him a thousand times

  Good at anti air game? I play Guy, i´m not a pro at all, but i do my best, and look for good strategies. However, i don´t see too much solid options for anti airs with guy. His Ex-shin senpukyaku, air comand throw and air roll are good, but the first use meter, and the others demans great rections and specific position.
  
  His pro points, in my opinion, are his good footsies, and set ups, but, as you said, most of them are blowed away with a fucking random shoryu… So much effort with little pay, but is fun as hell XD

As someone who has mained Guy since regular Super came out, there’s nothing new this video has to offer. It might be useful to people who have just picked him up, but your probably better off watching videos from Kiryu, Nox and Otinosho.

  I would recommend Otinhoso (pedromarques999) (that is his youtube if im not mistaken) over Kiryu and Nox simply becuz in my experience it was easier to recognize strategies being used. Kiryu and Nox play very quickly and take more risks compared to Lord Otaku, Otinhoso, and Papatiwawa. For beginners I would say watch these players, and then move onto Kiryu and Nox once you know the basics.

a combo guide should be guide you, how the links and chains are set up and how to use them in different situation. btw this combos are very easy to execute and to watch them twice with full ultra animation is a pain in the a** .
