The PlayStation Stores in both Hong Kong and Singapore recently updated, adding access to the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The beta features the first six characters they announced (Colonel Radec, Fat Princess, Kratos, PaRappa the Rapper, Sly Cooper, and Sweet Tooth) and weighs in at 354 MB. This build, although limited in functionality, will allow the developers to test the servers and matchmaking features.

It’s currently unknown when this beta will hit other regions, but it looks like it might happen sooner than later. According to a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, there will be “exclusive access to an action packed beta” coming in early August. Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it’s likely that Sony was referring to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. We’ll keep you updated once more information becomes available.
