MOMO2, Home of the Season’s Beatings Tournament Series, Closing Its Doors on July 31st

It was recently announced that MOMO2, a popular spot in Columbus, Ohio, will be shutting down at the end of the month. While it’s home to a variety of attractions, including bowling alleys and karaoke, many of you probably know it best as the home of the Season’s Beatings tournament series, as well as the Columbus Fight Night events held every week by members of the local community. Even if you’ve never stepped foot inside the establishment, it’s immediately recognizable in tournament photos thanks to the amount of events it has given a home over the years, and it’s definitely upsetting to see it go.

Because of this turn of events, tonight marks the very last Columbus Fight Nights, so head on over and get a few more games in before they close their doors. This final session will last until 2 AM Eastern tonight. A thread has also been created in the Shoryuken forums for players to share their favorite memories.

While this does not mean the end of Season’s Beatings, the weekly fight night crew has lost a place to hold their events. If you have any tips on where they can set up shop in the future, be sure to pass them along.
