Hot on the heels of the news that they’ve acquired the rights to the Rumble Fish series, Dimps has announced that they will be re-releasing The Rumbe Fish 2 in Japanese arcades. Originally running on the Atomiswave arcade board, The Rumble Fish 2 will hit arcades once again via Taito’s NESiCAxLive arcade system. Interestingly enough, the re-release may not only be a straight port, as Dimps has mentioned that it will be tuned over the original. More details are forthcoming on the official site.
The re-release itself is apparently only the first entry in Dimp’s “The Rumble Fish Revival Project.” This most likely means that we should expect more from The Rumble Fish in the future.
