Dead or Alive 5 – Tag Team, Training Mode Images

Following the release of their new trailer, Tecmo Koei sent out a variety of images detailing a few cast members (including recently revealed Jann Lee and Lisa Hamilon) duking it out in tag battle mode. They also include the first images of the game’s training mode, which is looking to be rather extensive, along with the usual mission mode and titles found in other fighting games.

The training mode looks amazing… Especially those Mission Modes. Wtf, future games would do well doing something similar.

That’s double the luchador content compared to most other fighting games.

Too bad one is just a costume for Bass, so we still only got 1 Luchador fighter :<

Something I am excited about even though it is a “small” touch. (its the small things that make the best games stand out.) Lei Fang has “official” win poses with both Jann Lee and Hitomi. That means that official pairs aren’t limited to just one character. It will be fun the first bit figuring out all of them.  Unless the “powa uppu” victory pose for the hitomi, LF, pair is just a generic one that all female characters get when paired or something.

Characters have had special win poses with more than one character since DOA2, more than 10 years ago.

I’ve noticed a nice touch in the P icons in the Kasumi v Ayane training mode image.  They each have an arrow which seems to indicate where the attack lands: High, High, Mid, Mid, High.  Could be useful when trying to find good, go-to, mix-up strings in the Move List.
