Mortal Kombat: Legacy Gearing Up for a Second Season

The folks behind 2011′s incredible Mortal Kombat: Legacy series recently dropped a new video to announce they have begun work on a second season. While the first offered a look at many of the fighters’ origins, this new season is all about the eponymous Mortal Kombat tournament.

In this short teaser, director/producer Kevin Tancharoen drops some hints as to what you can expect from the second season, as well as humorous run-through of the cast, which includes many of the principal season’s main characters as well as new additions Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Ermac, and Kenshi.

         TBH, though she hasn’t been given much of a chance to do much for the character… I just didn’t get that whole stubborn-resilience flavor that Sonya is supposed to give off.

        Not that I’m unwilling to accept her as in the role. I’m just not feelin’ that presence that Bridgette Wilson brought.

       The current Sonya is attractive, I’d say.  It’s in the in-game Sonya they need to pretty up.  She has a freakin’ man-jaw.

    That seems like a lot of characters to jam in there. One MK fallback on it’s transition to visual media like TV or movies is the stuffing of too many characters. Especially since MKL Season 1 was like 10 eps that were about 10 minutes long a piece. That’s not enough time for as many characters as they are proposing. Hopefully, the eps will be longer so there is enough character development to appreciate the cast.
