Achievements List Hints At Capcom’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Re-Release

While Namco and CyberConnect2 are currently at work at a new JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game, there more than a few players who would prefer the older, 2D JoJo’s game from Capcom. Well, a listing at XBox360achievements.org is hinting that aforementioned 2D fighter may actually be heading for a digital re-release. Interestingly enough the page lists CyberConnect2 as the developer so this may be a case of them working with Capcom and Namco to re-release the game to drum up interest in the series and their own, modern take on a JJBA fighting game.

    I can not bloody wait. I’m not up on my versions, but I’m sure they’ll release the latest and keep it arcade? I think one has box Hol and one has Hanged Man Hol, can’t recall it’s been too long. I just need to shoot people in slow motion n shit.

       Jojo has both, Hanged Man is default Hol and box is an hidden alternate that has slightly different move properties.  Hanged Man Hol has probably the best oki of any character in any game ever

           He is dumb easy, but with more/equal work you can break a lot of the other cast in JoJo, no reason to ban him since most people can’t play him at all

        Capcom didn’t buy them out. They’re only licensing the tech, same as Namco (who’s only using it for that Dragonball arcade fighter).

    The fact that Cyber connect is contributing in some way to this game gives me hope that they may go in a similar direction with their new game.

    Would there be any issues around copyright in regards to the character names?

       Different game, this is the old Capcom game being ported, the other is a brand new one being created by CC2.

        Yup, but Cyberconnect is apparently helping with the Capcom version.  If they’re doing that, hopefully they realize they shouldn’t make this new one into a “Naruto” game.

          CyberConnect2 did a great job with it’s faux-SFIV engine in Asura’s Wrath, that should let people know they have what it takes to make a solid fighter if the time arises….the time has arised….a solid fighter may be on the way.

          The Naruto Ninja Storm series has been an arena fighter for the past 10 years, starting as a Smash Clone. The Naruto/Arena combination has worked well for the franchise. It would be dumb to make this JJBA an arena fighter when standard 1v1 worked so well in Capcom’s JJBA adaptation.
