As was previously reported, Super Arcade in Walnut, California has received an official Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 qualifier for Super Battle Opera 2012. While details were still being hammered out when they made the announcement, Alex Valle’s recent post on the Level|Up Series website has all the information you’ll need if you’re planning on entering.
AE 2012 is being run as a 3 vs. 3 tournament this year at SBO and, to decide on who they’ll be sending, the folks over at Super Arcade are running the qualifiers the exact same way. Obviously, no duplicate characters can be picked, and every member of the team must have their passports ready by July 13th. The winning team will have their airfare covered by Super Arcade.
Every detail has been transcribed below, but feel free to head over to the official Shoryuken forum thread for the event if you have any further questions that you need answered. If you think you have what it takes to represent the United States, grab some teammates and make the trip to Southern California to test your skills against some of the region’s best. Even if you don’t end up winning, this is sure to be a fantastic event.
