Anarchy Reigns Demo Now Available Through Japanese Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace

UPDATE: If you’re having problems finding the game in the Japanese Marketplace, the Japanese title is Max Anarchy.

Though not a fighting game in the strictest sense of the definition, multi-player brawler Anarchy Reigns incorporates a few gameplay elements normally attributed to the genre and smashes them together with Platinum Games’ typical flair and style. Those of you who have been waiting to get your hands on the game now finally have a chance, as a demo has been added to the Japanese Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

Japanese accounts are simple to create if you live outside the country, and the demo comes with full English options for dialogue, menus, and subtitles. This is a little odd, seeing as the game’s release status recently changed to “To Be Confirmed” for regions outside of Japan, but it does show strides have been made to localize the title. If you’re interested but would rather not go through the trouble of creating new online accounts, we’ve included a demo impression video from Substance TV below.

Anarchy Reigns is set to release on July 5th in Japan for both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
