Autumn Games Sponsoring Official Skullgirls Side Tournament at EVO 2012

While the game came out too late to make it in officially, Skullgirls will still have a tournament presence at EVO 2012. Peter Bartholow from Reverge has just announced that Autumn Games will be sponsoring an official Skullgirls side tournament at the event. They’re still hammering out the details of this side tournament, but they have released the following information.

The tournament will take place on July 6th and 7th

There will be an entry fee, to be announced at a later date

Autumn Games will be contributing $1000 to the prize pool

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive custom FoeHammer dual-system fight sticks

We’ll post more details as they become available.

Didn’t it release like, a few weeks after SFxT? Don’t give that as a bullshit excuse… I’m pretty sure AE dropped sooner last year.

  Yep, a month after. And the community didn’t get an official date until a week before it was actually released. Things of this nature obviously need to be planned far in advance.

  Wizard had no idea when the game was coming out before he made the final decision for evo games. Do you want him to put in a game that might not come out in time for the tourney.

  It never had a RELEASE DATE set. SFxT had a release date WAY earlier then SG. SG also had TWO delayed releases. Of course SG was not gonna be a GUARANTEED spot with those kind of stuff happening. seriously this kind of bs of yours reeks of ignorance

  this would be undesirable since people would not have enough time to adjust. I believe Mike Z has said he is going to try and make it so the new build comes out after EVO to avoid this.
