Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Coming to iPhone and iPod Touch on April 25th

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 fanatics who just can’t get enough of the game will soon have another platform on which to play the classic fighting game. Siliconera is reporting that MvC2 will be hitting Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch on April 25 in the United States and Europe. This new portable version of the game will retain all 56 character, the tagging system, and the ability to do Team Hyper Combos. However, there is still no word on whether this version will have multiplayer support or what price it will retail at, so we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

    But seriously, I would, but I don’t think that’s possible. At least, I don’t think it can emulate anything properly past PSX. I would definitely have gotten Soulcalibur a long time ago if I was confident enough it could do that without any glitches

      I don’t think you could emulate MvC2 on the PSP, either… Main issues are memory space (which the PSP doesn’t have enough of) and completely incompatible hardware with the source code. Besides, I don’t really think the PSP was as powerful as the Dreamcast, either. Now the PS Vita, on the other hand…!

        psp was like an accelerated ps1, with more ram and a more advanced sdk and graphics library. psp hardware was better than dreamcast in a lot of ways, but not more powerful, and it definitely couldnt emulate dc at anywhere near full speed

I mean, some are impressive but in no way have they even been or even will be superior to actually gaming devices. Honestly, I wish they would just re-release Marvel Vs. Capcom 1 already. In fact I was just thinking the other day how cool it would be if they released MVC to iPhones. Do not be fooled, it is not going to be online. There will be bluetooth at most. They are not going do do ANY coding with the exception of some re-styling of the select screen, but on the app side, not on the actual game. I’m pretty sure they want the usual few bucks with little effort.
