While a tentative summer release has been hanging over the head of Persona 4: Arena’s console port for some time, the latest issue of Famitsu contains a concrete release date for the upcoming fighter. Japanese fans will be able to snag the game for their Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 consoles on August 2nd, and pre-orders will follow the familiar Atlus pattern and include a bonus soundtrack. With new fighters and modes teased by Atlus and Arc System Works, the console version is looking to be a great addition instead of a rushed port, so hopefully this revelation means release dates for other regions may be on the horizon.

UPDATE: A recent update to the game’s Amazon pre-order page says it will be available in the United States on August 7th, only a five day difference from the Japanese version. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
