Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Added to NorCal Regionals 10 Lineup

The folks behind this year’s NorCal Regionals are proud to announce a new game for their 2012 lineup. Sega of America will be on hand to run an official Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown side tournament, complete with a unique group of prizes for those that reach the top 8.

Start Time: Saturday @ 3:00pm
Grands Finals: Sunday (tbd)
Entry: Free
Rules: Double-elimation, 2/3 rounds (pools), 3/5 rounds (grand finals)
Prizes: All fighters making it into the Top 8 will receive an exclusive Virtua Fighter t-shirt. In addition, the Top 3 will receive signed merchandise.  Also, a special grand prize for the winner of the Virtua Fighter 5 tournament will be announced soon!

Both the top eight and grand finals will be given the spotlight on the tournament’s official streams Saturday and Sunday, respectively, so everyone will get a chance to check out the upcoming update to the series. The support Sega of America is giving this event is great, so be sure to show up and reciprocate if you’re a fan of the series by checking out the tournament. For newcomers just getting their feet wet, the Sega of America booth will also be open all weekend for practice and casual play. Registration is now open and entirely free, so get in there for your chance to win some fantastic prizes.
