      Ibuki’s general awesomeness from SSF4 was because of her hard knockdowns. Now that there are invincible techrolls, her whole play style kinda falls apart. I mained her all thru ssf4 and part of Third strike, but i think i may have to switch out for someone else

Julia/Lili with MArduk taking Julia’s place every now and then. I’m loving all three of them. Julia is so slept on. She’s really a very good character I think. Her damage output is insane. 400 no bar. And my bnb with them does 530 with 2 bars.

I was lucky enough to get a copy last friday and put in some time. I started with Raven and his cross ups and combos lead to big dmg. His Cr.H into Wind Cross maybe the safest option select in the game with the ability to react if your opponent gets hit to follow up with a charged wind cross or back dash to safety. Which leads to other follow up combos for easy to do 300+ dmg combos. His cr.MK has great range and punishes every blocked launcher in the game, which sets up nice dmg. Tigerkneeing his Ninja star puts you in great screeen position and if you are close enough and it connects you can dash up for a cr.mk into whatever.. Also adds top side pressure which sometimes keeps your opponent grounded, so if they blocking low you can Skull Smasher Feint, since it’s an over head and causes a ground bounce.

I have him teamed up with Julia. She has some real nice pokes. her cr.MK has GREAT range and cancels into her dance punch. Which has 3 versions which is great for mix ups, but pretty risky. Her FWD+MP > LP knocks up and sets up a variarty of combos. Follow up with a Red Orchid Combo into SUPER for about 350 Dmg, Or into a Wind Roll follow up for about 290ish, or Link a cr.MK into her DP then tag in Raven for a 475 for real big dmg.

Both have great launcher follow ups, Raven can go into Skull Smasher Feint into Cr.H into Super. Julia can do Skull Smasher Feint into both doing about 440-450 dmg each. I’m going to try other teams but that’s my day -5 team.

I’m surprised there are so many Jin’s. Every Jin I’ve played has been ass cheeks. Juri and Asuka that high up, it’s kind of weird I haven’t played a single one yet. And Nina being that low is unexpected, she’s solid.

I think it’s pretty rad that Poison, despite the controversy of her being a totally hot dude in japan and a totally hot ex-dude in the US, and despite a lot of people being I guess uncomfortable with that, is one of the highest picked characters at launch.
I’m curious what this means. That the noise was for nothing? That people try out new and interesting characters despite their personal biases?
