Street Fighter X Tekken Theme Remix Brings Back Fond Memories of Alpha 2 Soundtrack…

WizzyWhipitWonderful just posted this awesome remix of SFxT’s main theme. Well arranged, catchy, and nostalgic to boot– the remix certainly seems to evoke the sentimentality of some of the Alpha OST’s. You can download the theme here.

Depends on which type of techno or electronic music really.
But, yes, rock, jazz and orchestral are the god tier genres.

How can you tell which is better? By sales?

Blasphemy! Jazz is superior to rock!

      But I respect your opinion.

I like Jazz Fusion, I don’t have to diss against other genres, they just put them all in and make them work in ways common people who listen a lot of MTV cannot imagine.

Oh man this reminds me of when me and my friends used to roam around the city and fight the local gangsters, I used to be able to do a 360 spinning kick in the air and an infinite punch combo… or wait maybe that was Final Fight.

¿Alpha where? Alpha had excellent compositions and arrangements, which were rich, with jazzy tunes and many details. This sounds “nostalgic” because of the sounds used, the composition resembles nothing like Alpha, not even EX, which was a completely different direction.

    “Better than 3rd Strike.”
    “Memories of Alpha 2 soundtrack.”

How much more bullshit are you all going to throw out to hype this game up? This is terrible and resembles nothing like Alpha 2. It’s just more techno/trance-filled crap that Capcom has been throwing out for the last 3 years.

Fighting game music just doesn’t hold up very well anymore, it’s just used to fill up background noise instead of creating something memorable. Companies don’t care much for that like they used to. SFIV had terrible character-theme remixes and MvC3 was just plain garbage. BlazBlue tried too hard to be like Guilty Gear (and even added fruity anime-vocal songs) but didn’t garner nearly as much positive reception. Tekken Tag 2 is also mediocre, which I didn’t expect since Tekken 6 was pretty decent. Calibur V is…”okay.” They at least put more effort into the soundtrack than the gameplay. KoF XIII is also decent although it had the same problem as SFIV with it’s classic themes

    Good fighting game soundtracks:
    -Art of Fighting 2 & 3
    -Bloody Roar 3 & 4
    -Dead or Alive 2 & 3
    -Destrega
    -Double Dragon (Neo Geo CD)
    -Evil Zone
    -Fatal Fury 3 & MotW
    -Galaxy Fight
    -Guilty Gear 1, X, XX & Korean XX #Reload
    -Gundam Battle Assault 1 & 2
    -Kensei: Sacred Fist
    -King of Fighters 95~2000, 2k2UM & Neowave
    -Project Justice
    -Psychic Force 2012
    -Samurai Shodown III
    -Soul Calibur I~III
    -SFIII (all)
    -SF Alpha 1 & 2
    -SF EX (all)
    -Tech Romancer
    -Tekken 1, 2, 3 & 4
    -Tobal No. 1
    -Toshinden 2 & 3
    -Virtua Fighter 2
    -X-Men vs Street Fighter

    Enough of the techno filth.

Some of the tracks were good, but I have to disagree with the instrument selection. MSHvsSF’s Marvel tracks were imho the best in the series (save for the hulk), and the SF tracks were original compositions for once. >_>
