Warner Bros. – No Current Plans for Mortal Kombat PC Version, But “We Are Gauging Interest For It”

According to the Dark Side of Gaming, Warner Bros. has said that they currently do not have any plans to bring Mortal Kombat to the PC platform. That doesn’t mean all hope is lost. They also said that they are “gauging interest” to see if a PC port is worthwhile. Here’s the official report from DSO.

In the press release, Warner Bros stated that although there are no plans for Mortal Kombat PC, the developer and the publisher has been gauging interest about this. If we read between the lines, we can see that there will actually be a PC version of it in the near future. After all, Warner Bros will be – kind of – forced to release it if SFxT proves to be successful on the PC.

Many of you may remember the issues that Warner Bros. had with the PC release of Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection. Hopefully a full release of Mortal Kombat 9 would not have the same issues.

    mk9 is unreal engine they’d be fools not to port it.  should be a snap.

    They’re probably using the Mortal Kombat Arcade port on Steam to gauge interest for MK9.

    MK9 For the pc would be the best fighting game on a computer. i love MK, but hate the street fighter series, it’s just boring. i’ll buy this game for 100%.

    what about pc lovers who only use pc platform. it’s not fair for those who only use pc. so mk should be for pc as well.

    It’s unfortunate that (*based on what this article says) the release of Mortal Kombat 9 on the PC is entirely predicated on the success of a mediocre game. Well i’m not going to buy SFxT with the hopes WB will release MK9 on the PC (even though I would love to see MK9 on the PC).
