Sega to Debut Arcade Version of Guilty Gear Λ Core Plus at AOU

Here’s some good news for Guilty Gear fans, Sega will be debuting an arcade version of Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus at the AOU show later this week. The game will be released as a downloadable title over Taito’s NESiCA x Live system. Based on the released screenshots, it seems that the game will run on the HD 16:9 monitors of modern arcade cabs but with sidebars to keep the games original 4:3 aspect ratio. Sega will be releasing a video as well as further details on the game at AOU which is this Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012. In addition to that, they will also be streaming from the AOU floor at their AOU Ustream channel.

It makes no sense to me that Sega would simply allow ASW to release this on hardware that is not there own. I would not think that Sega is that silly to miss something like this.

I wouldn’t get too exited, this just means they are releasing it on a modern multigame arcade cabinet. It doesn’t mean you are getting it as a downloadable title any more than you are getting KOF2002UM, Kickthrough Racers, Senko No Ronde Duo, Oppopo Boom Darius Burst..etc
In fact if anything it would indicate that you probably have less chance of seeing it in the near future because they want there to be a reason to go pay to play it at an arcade.

ASW got the rights to GG back so good things are happening as for BB i would say after Extend its dead cause there rereleasing the same game with ONE added character and an update big deal for 40 bucks. i would say that BB is done after extend. I just want GG3 already with Valentine in it and other characters that were in GG2.

If this arcade verison is 400 microsoft points or less I may get it, doubt the game would even last long with online players. Already have the xbox version of GG X2 on my 360.

As for BB, that shit got old fast with how crappy the online connection was, at least for the PS3. The one new character thing is also retarded.

KOF, well kinda wondering who the heck would still play that anymore.

The last GG played like Dynasty Warriors, almost as bad as retro shit. I’d rather see either a 3D fighting game or something like Power Stone.

  BB has one of the most solid netcodes out in the market, along with SFHDR is one of the top 3 netcodes, so no, if you have a crappy connection, its a problem at your end
  
  also that single character, plus the balance changes add more gameplay than the 2 twins and 2 shotos, of AE, so lol

  GG2nd Overture played like a DOTA game, in fact it was one of the first game of that type, its an strategy game, not a hack and slash game

BB is old and boring and old If Extend is released for 20 bucks im fine with it but 40 for 1 NEW character that plays exactly like the son is stupid.

AE got 2 broken characters and 2 characters that surprisingly werent broken for being shoto characters and the 2012 patch fixed the broken characters as for us sucking capcom dick fine understandable but KOF XIII is badass and i own BB and BBCS and that shit got boring online and my connection is perfect. I play all the single player content to that game more and i play the PSP version the most but to re-release the game with balance changes and one character as a disc is stupid in and of itself you know it i know it everyone knows it this by far is probably the stupidist thing a company has done.

I just find it stupid that Exend isnt dlc which is what it really should be, your basically paying 40 bucks for Carl’s dad yea i say fuck that. If you want me to pay for the same game i ALREADY have with just 1 added character then you can go to hell, unless i see 3 more or 5 added characters then nah imma stay with BBCS. and BBCS portable. Which is sad cause all the people that say BB is the best dont know anything else cause if they were hardcore fans they would be outraged by this.

Mind you i love fighting games and I dont hate unless i play the game and see stupid shit like this happening. But BB is just gimmick characters of the GG ones to me GG will always surpass anything coming out even now. If you wanna get more into that with me i prefer Tekken and Battle Arena Toshinden over Street Fighter, hey i prefer Jojo’s over those and outta the 2d fighters i play Darkstalkers is always my top with Guilty Gear. although it’s probably the closest to a non-beginner-friendly fighter
out right now, which is why I play and like it). You shit-talking scrubs better hope
it doesn’t make a comeback for the simple sake of your pride–I doubt
you’ll be able to tolerate the embarrassment of getting repeatedly
destroyed while you’re trying to fall back on safety net mechanics that
aren’t there. There’s no training wheel Ultras. There’s no hand
holding X-factor or gems to block for you. And that’s exactly why
Guilty Gear needs to make a comeback.

Scrubs, please. BB’s current roster size is 19, and every single one of them have completely unique playstyles (yes, even Carl and Relius). It’s a case of quality over quantity, and the issue is irrelevant to you half-assers that can’t even properly master ONE character in the games you do play or even all of the matchups with one character. It’s a cop out in a long list of excuses to not play the game that are a really long winded way of saying “It’s not made by Capcom.”
