SNK games, especially earlier ones have never been really combo oriented. Outside of a few extended B&B’s it’s mostly poking and throws.

Much more skill based. Its less about look at this long combo string I memorized and more about footsies, spacing, anti air,reactions and mind games. Sigh those were the days.

Apparantly, there was a sequel in the works that was about 70% finished. New characters supposedly included Joe’s female apprentice and, according to these ‘prototype screens’, Mr. Karate II

It’s just a typical Guard Crush, except they never bothered to show it on a bar.

IIRC SNK had been using that style of “meterless” Guard Crush since KOF ’96.
