With the PS3 version of Street Fighter X Tekken getting exclusive characters Toro, Kuro, and Cole from inFamous, Xbox 360 owners are left wondering “where’s our exclusive character love?” According to a recent article by Xbox360Achievements.org, Capcom originally planned on including Xbox exclusive characters as well. Yoshinori Oni said “we were in discussions with them (Microsoft) for which character to put in as an exclusive, but we weren’t able to decide on a character because of differences in timing and things like that.” As for what characters were being talked about, Ono said “In terms of characters we wish we could have put in the game, Master Chief or Marcus Fenix from Gears of War would have been really cool, but it was just really difficult.”

He then went on to confirm that the Xbox 360 version of the game will have no console exclusive characters whatsoever. “Unfortunately for Street Fighter X Tekken, only the PlayStation family will be getting the exclusive characters, but it’s something we wish could have happened,” Ono said. “It’s just too bad, basically.”

The native resolution for Arcade cabinets is 1080p. Hmmm the back of my Xbox copy says 1080p. Upscaled or not it still looks way better plus no input delay. Just because combofiend plays it its ok? Lol what happens when combofiend jumps off a bridge lol? The reason most “pros” play on Playstation is because EVO is on Playstation. Evo is on Playstation because Sony sponsors the event not because its the better system. You realize the Arcade version has no input delay. With the current EVO setup on Playstation 3 with an ASUS “EVO” monitor you have 5 milisecs of input delay. The first thing Fuudo noted after winning EVO during his interview “I noticed the delay”. In EU tournaments are on Xbox. Even in Japan tournaments and events that aren’t on Arcade cabinets are on Xbox. If your on Xbox with a CRT screen or 0 ms monitor its true to arcade. Even if EVO was on Xbox you’d still have only 2 ms delay (because of the monitor) which would be better. But oh well just the way it is from now on try to think for yourself combofan and thanks for reviving a 4 month old discussion.

So because Combofiend does something it must be ok? I hope he never jumps of a bridge that will surely spell disaster for you as well. Just because something is playable doesn’t mean its better. The native resolution of the game in arcades is 1080p. The Xbox version of the game is in 1080p. It may be up scaled but it looks way better than the PS3 counter part. Also the PS3 has input delay 3 milliseconds to be exact. The arcade cabinets and Xbox do not. Soooo if your playing on a CRT TV or monitor or a 0 ms TV or monitor on the Xbox that’s as close to arcade perfect you can get on console. You may be saying 3 ms big whoop. The first thing Fuudo noted after winning Evo in his interview was “I noticed the delay”. Because the current EVO setup is a PS3 connected to a Asus “EVO” monitor. That monitor has 2 ms delay not bad pretty darn good considering your standard hi def tv or monitor has 5. Either way if you figure the latency of the system and the monitor your looking at 5 ms total. Why does EVO use PS3 then? Because Sony sponsors the event. That’s why the “pros” like your hero Combofiend play on Playstation as well. Makes sense but, still doesn’t change the fact that the Sony version of SF and the system itself are inferior. EU tournaments and Japanese events or some kind of gathering like Topanga TV, where they dont have access to arcade cabinets use Xbox. Because like I said its the closest you can get to arcade perfect. I myself also own a PS3 I’m not biased I just play my fighters on Xbox for all the aforementioned reasons. So what’s the moral here? Please Combo boy, Combofiends sidekick, the Sony avenger please try to use your own brain from now on and thank you for reviving a 4 month old discussion you must have very little to do.
