How about yes.Capcom has already used this and YES it does match the gameplay during combos.Capcom has a great ear for ads and music.Deal with it.

TxSF will always be the more interesting crossover. We already see projectiles within the 3d space of Soul Calibur, so maybe that will govern to some effect how the SF cast transitions into Tekken.

I’ve been wondering for a long time how they’re going to deal with projectiles. If you’re familiar with Sakura’s Hadou-Shou from CvS, that’s what I think they might go for. Something similar to that.

They’ll put in the characters they want regardless of the poll and they’ll be based on who they want to put out as the face of both companies (Ryu/Ken, some casual favorites, whoever represents their newest franchise installments like MVC3 did for Resident Evil and such, and the occasional oddball based on personal preference or an interesting gameplay mechanic) and hey, if one of those is your favorite then “Because you demanded it, we’re giving the fans what they want!”

I’m not saying they shouldn’t do it because its a surefire way to get some successful promotion, but I can’t help but snark at it. If Sean won a facebook pool by a landslide, there would be no way in hell that he’d ever make it unless someone of clout wanted him in, IE a famous celebrity with sway over consumers or someone on the project who feels extremely strongly about said character.

is there a release date for TxSF yet? I’m getting both versions.

To be fair “the masses” rarely know what’s good for them.

Also, for me personally it takes away from the excitement if you know the entire roster in advance. (though maybe they won’t announce it and still make it a surprise)

Lastly fans have the tendency to choose boring ass, well known characters. I think that if for example fans had the choice of which characters would have been in MvC3 it would have been a ton of characters from previous games with nothing new and fresh a la Rocket Raccoon or Iron Fist etc.

Worst Tekken? Seems like you’ve never played Tekken 1, 2, 4, and 5. 3, Tag, or DR is arguable.The best argument you have is that it’s too slow? On what merit? Have you seen the frame data? Fastest moves and windows for certain mechanics are still identical.

People will essentially try to find random things to accuse the game of. That isn’t a valid argument. Be honest and simply say you don’t have the fortitude or dedication to learn the game instead of accusing it of faults rather than yourself.

I would like to see Alex’s (raptor) return, it was fun to play with him in TTT and since almost all the characters from the original Tekken are still alive/available in TTT2, how about a new character from each team?

Other than Alex and Kunimitsu, I think we are going to have all the characters from TTT2 and a bunch of shotos from SF… so needless to say, the Capcom gang is the one who will need votes to see specific characters since there are a lot more to chose from.

I would like to see Alex’s (raptor) return, it was fun to play with him in TTT and since almost all the characters from the original Tekken are still alive/available in TTT2, how about a new character from each team?

Other than Alex and Kunimitsu, I think we are going to have all the characters from TTT2 and a bunch of shotos from SF… so needless to say, the Capcom gang is the one who will need votes to see specific characters since there are a lot more to chose from.

I think there was a giant, huge “everything story canon Street Fighter” document somewhere on the Internet proving that Rival Schools couldn’t co-exist with Street Fighter because of time contradictions. Similar to how AOF and Fatal Fury don’t match up at all with the KOF timeline.

Well unlike ono he has to as he has a way bigger challenge to make fireballs work in his game than ono did with dealing with projectiles in his game.  The gems are no excuse for what ono did to the game system and its sad that the hype died because of it.  Though I will still buy the game.

Last time we got to vote-in a character in a fighting game (SFIV vanilla on console), they ignored the two characters with the highest votes (Rolento & Dudley) and instead chose the biggest skank on the poll (Cammy) for the sake of fan-service. Classy move.

This is just a marketing gimmick. Your character (other than the obvious ones) will not make it into the game. Vote for Karin & R. Mika all you want, who are both coincidentally characters that people seldom know how to play and just want them in there for eye candy. More fanboy bullshit, ahoy.
