No, I’m certainlly he just increased that fact that the game is looking way less appealing than before… I personaly think the playable build at EVO was sooo much better than this one into the  gameplay standpoint!

If MvC3 hadn’t already had a strong following in the FGC because of MvC2 it would of been shunned like CRAZY before it’s release just like SFxT is right now. It was criticized a ton for it’s crazy changes to the series, but at least most people were still hyped because “Hey! Another MvC!!”.

Since SFxT is the first in the series AND still has the crazy fighting game mechanics/engines that Capcom is known for making, more people are looking at it and just honestly not hyped. It’s understandable.

But I’ll go out on a limb and say that I straight up guarantee that when this game comes out and the mecha game starts to flourish a giant portion of the people who just honestly weren’t that excited are going to end up loving it.

People who say this game will be horrible imo was just flat out dumb because they don’t know that. But people like you who say they aren’t hyped, that’s understandable, but you’ll see. Trust me.

Absolutely not, I’m just pointing out that with everything about this game they’d at the very absolute least make the game look good, but it looks awful. Blinking red, green and blue auras that look worse than vanilla XF animation? Like cmon its 2012, we really gonna copy paste 2008 style graphic styles?

As far as the bad graphics = bad game, I still play Rival Schools, and yeah that game isn’t jaw dropping graphically.

Actually I lost hype due to the fact that theyre selling parts of the game mechanics as DLC’s. Lets compare it to X-Factor since Gems are essentially a specific activated come back mechanic. Some gems ranges from 5 to 20 seconds. Some increase speed while some increases strength. Gems are very much like X-factor to say the least.

Imagine if they had X-Factor up as DLC ranging from X-Factor level 1, X-Factor level 1.5, X-Factor level 2..ect They can even differentiate them by saying X-Factor level 1 version 2 will last 15 seconds oppose to 7 seconds and so on.

Mecha game? This game has gigantic space robots!?!?! Aight I’m in…

And yeah all I said is that the game isn’t hyped and doesn’t look good, if its fucking good shit I’ll buy it, but its a definite NOT day 1 buy for me.

Bro, you have no idea how much I want to love this game like I did when it was first announced at the 2010 Comic Con event. I completely agree that bashing it without even touching it is kinda ridiculous so I personally will wait and hope to at least find that excitement again. Still this game has seemingly gone to sh!t and I believe that people are more disappointed rather than just plain bashing it for no reason at all. Remember how super excited we all were when we saw that very first gameplay with Ryu and Kazuya?

Graphics while ugly (and I hate that zooming feature), doesnt bother me as much as the gems issue. Guess will see how the delivery of gems (DLC/Special Pre-orders/Store specific gems..ect) will effect the whole game and its success as a game as well as a tournament game.

What are you people smoking?  This game looks way prettier than SF4.  I’m surprised no one was complaining about graphics when MvC3 came out.  Now that’s a game that looks rough on the eyes.

Feel the sammmmme way dude. I was excited because I got my roots in the FGC from Tekken. And because of the whole DLC/Pre-order fiasco that is STILL a problem to this day. My hype has practically all disappeared. I just hope the whole DLC/pre-order situation doesn’t end up being as disastrous as predicted.

I’m sooo much more hyped for Soul Calibur5. Still getting SFxT because the meta-game will no doubt be interesting. But as of right now, my hype is at like a 6/10 when originally it was at a 11/10

Miguel would be awesome xD but I don’t see it happening either =/ I wouldn’t rule out Roger Jr since Kuma made it, but I won’t get my hopes up either.

That said, even if most of this cast is kinda’ what we all expected, its still a good cast so far.  It’s far more interesting on the Tekken side of things, although I might just be biased since I’m a Tekken fan first…

I like the SF4 art style, i played the game at GAMEfest2011 and i loved it, i dont mind Pandora and Gems, i want Yun in this game.

Capcom Fighting Jam was thrown in Ono’s lap and given an unrealistic time frame for him to finish it, that’s why it felt so rushed, because it was.

Now, not only does Ono and his crew have time to make this game, he’s got time to troll us too!  I used to just smile and nod when I read his comments, now I just wanna punch the dude in the face, lol. Watching the Stream on Friday was like coming downstairs to no Christmas presents.

I didn’t see the periods between Giving, Explosive and Head.  That could either be an extremely awesome thing, or a very, very bad thing. =P

I kind of disagree.  Seeing the full roster for UMVC3 and seeing pretty much nobody I liked kind of killed the hype and ruined the surprise for me.

Then again, waiting for each reveal and still being disappointed wouldn’t help me too much either…

This is complete tosh, Gems aren’t a “comeback mechanic”, X-factor isn’t even a comeback mechanic. They’re a constant strategic influence on the match and it’s flow. An easy input gem is hardly going to bring about a huge comeback.

Furthur more they’re not “selling parts of the game mechanic as DLC’s”, everyone will have options to customise their “X-Factor” in unique ways, some will have more options than others but they won’t necessarily be better options to use or have. At no-point will you be denied from using “X-Factor” and the level of “X-Factor” isn’t being denied either.

In any case, given that you want to compare it to X-factor which many wish was stricken from MvC3, Gems being an option is actually an enhancement over X-factor.

Dealing with Gems is such a minor issue for tournaments and one which can’t even be fully discussed yet, getting irate over them seems pathetic to me.

Being universally reviled by the cap-community didn’t stop MK from being the most successful game of the year, and being nothing like its predecessor didn’t stop the marvel community from embracing MvC3 twice, so we should really stop pretending that lol gems and lol graphics are going to keep this from being hugely successful, competively and casually.

She’s really not, it’s an extremely vocal minority (per character polls) and a few of them get all pissy when she isn’t added to a game as if they were promised her. Ever since interest in Poison finally tipped the scales and allowed her to be included in a game, everyone thinks THEY pick 100% of the game’s roster. I actually think Karin has a unique playstyle and wouldn’t mind seeing her but I’m just so tired of hearing about it.

X-Factor, like gems, influences the strategy of an entire round. They’re not comeback mechanics, they can be used strategically for any number of purposes.

Despite all the hate this game get’s I’m personally excited for it. I’m not sure why there is still all this hate for it even though capcom has said you don’t have to choose gems while playing oh well.

SC V is gonna be awesome. If you like meta game than you’ll be well served with SC V. Health bar, Super bar used for Critical Edges, Brave edges (which are pretty much like EX moves but with a little more to it), guard impact, guard crush meter and ring position so you don’t or create ringouts. OH and lets not forget just guard and quickstep a la VF added to the system. SC V is looking horribly solid. SF x Tekken looks so blend compared to this :S
