DoAWorld provides new details today regarding the Dead or Alive 5 demo, arriving with Ninja Gaiden 3 on March 20th in North America. As previously reported, you can get a two-character DoA5 demo by pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 3 for $59.99, or you can upgrade to the full four-character demo by purchasing the NG3 Collector’s Edition for $99.99. However, as DoAWorld reports, you may be able to obtain the demo through other means.
The DOA5 demo voucher in the Collector’s Pack says “Dead or Alive 5 “Premium Edition” Areana -Scramble- Stage Demo Downloadable Code Voucher.”. This means the demo is not locked to the disc you bought, meaning you can just use anyone’s voucher and redeem it. Although the DOA5 demo is a stand alone voucher, from my experience DLC and redeem codes have always been locked to a specific region whether you are on PS3 or XBOX. Don’t take my words [sic] on this but if you plan to buy a voucher online make sure it’s from your region or it won’t work on your account. You can always make a new account and change the region according to your voucher but that takes effort.
Of course, if you were going to purchase Ninja Gaiden 3 anyway, the demo gives you something to do between deaths.
DoAWorld also has a few new screen shots. Check them out below.
