If you went to lot of majors over the past two years, you’ve probably seen SRK community member John “DaRabidDuckie” Wade with his head in an arcade cabinet or working on dual-modding someone’s stick. Over the past two years Duckie has quickly become a favorite in the SRK, Tech Talk, and Fighting Game Community with his friendly personality, strong work ethic, and “can do” attitude, and now he needs our help.Last October, Duckie injured his right eye in an accident While working on someone’s stick at Season’s Beatings. While the burns to his eye eventually healed, unknown complications resulted in blindness, sporadic and cripping pain, and painful sensitivity to light, forcing him to keep his eye covered with an eye patch. He’s had trouble adjusting to working with one eye and can’t keep up with his stick modding business that he now depends on to pay his bills after his unemployment benefits were terminated, and he’s been unable to find steady employment in his condition because of the pain. He can no longer afford medical treatment and is now facing eviction at the end of December because he’s late on his rent.
