UMvC3′s Ancient Warrior Costume Pack Delayed, Contentious Magneto Alternate Removed

It was recently announced on Capcom-Unity that the upcoming Ancient Warrior costume pack for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been delayed. Originally set to release tomorrow, the new costumes for Arthur, Firebrand, and Hulk will see the light of day come March 6th. Magneto, who was also included in the pack, will not be updated with his formerly announced House of M alternate, possibly due to its likeness with King Juan Carlos’ iconic military attire. The package will see a reduced price, which should be disclosed as we get closer to the new release date.

So is Capcom playing chicken now, like when Marvel did the same with the infamous The Pulse cover – yet I’ve seen panels where Erik is still wearing that outfit? It was one of the best alts in the game – along with Elvis MODOK, Cablepool and the Mega Man trolling ones – and now we won’t get it in any way. A pity, indeed.

And I would ask people not to blame a whole country for some scandal coming from the legal department of a relic of the past we still haven’t got rid of yet, but seeing the level of maturity of some comments in previous posts on the matter, I’d be asking for a miracle.
