Seth Killian and Derek Neal drop by Giant Bomb to show off Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition. This quick look video lasts for over thirty minutes and has a ton of great information about the modern re-release of this classic.

      But, they actually made effort to change it a little, and they get called lazy.

            It’s pointless to even suggest a differing opinion to Joe. Personally I don’t find them any better or worse than the original.

      It’s a framerate issue. The video probably runs at 30fps while the game runs at 60 so it’s dropping half of the frames.

    Giantbomb is the best general video game website on Earth…hands down, no argument. Insane volume of video content and the best weekly podcast. Jeff and Brad do have fighting game backgrounds but only back to UMK3. Nice to see the site featured here.

    Hooooly crap this looks good. This should be the basis of all of Capcom’s future fighting game releases, it pretty much has everything a fighting game enthusiast could ask for. If I had a stick I would definitely buy this, playing this with a 360 pad would no doubt be terrible.

        agree and agree. There a lot of games you can play without a stick and they work fine. Even SF4 with it’s loads of input leniency is ok, but SF 3S, a stick is real experience. I played it on GGPO for a long while with a controller and did…well…bad. I got my stick and then I was suddenly doing only slightly below average!! It just feels right for this game really.

    I wonder how many people will buy this thinking they’re awesome because they watched the evo moment 37 video 23094830894 times and think they’re the gods of parrying only to get bodied online and quit after a a few days. :D

      lol, I don’t know anyone who consider themselves gods after simply watching something. The reality of parrying will set in really quick, as you said, if they do.

    This was a nice quick look, its cool how you can have different tournament settings, weird how you can ban characters but knowing the tier list we should know why. With the filters on it really does look good and the menu is beautiful. The parry training was really cool can’t wait to see what the character tutorials look like there hasn’t been one video i’ve seen showing it. Can’t wait to pick this up and have some new people to play against pick up every one!
