Capcom Fight Club in New York City on August 18th

From the fine folks at Capcom Unity comes news of another exciting chance to play pre-release versions of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, and even some 3rd Strike Online.

Heads up to those of you who are in the New York City area. We will be having a Fight Club on August 18th, so mark your calendars! I can tell you that Street Fighter x Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition will be making appearances. We will let you guys know more information in the following days.

Rocket Raccoon is going to be revealed this week due to his Hardcover Trade that just released this month.

Not sure on which Capcom character though.

Got the invite and I’m going. I hope it’s more like the Brooklyn one where everyone got in and not like the Manhattan one where it was a small venue and Capcom invited way too many people.

For several reasons I can’t take August 16th off from work and the earliest I can show up is at 6 PM. I’m hoping I can get in with no problems but if I have to stand on line for 4 hours like the Manhattan one that will not be cool.

So yeah either a huge venue or Capcom needs to chill out with the invites. 1,000 invites to a place that can only hold 200 people is never a good idea.

ROFL wrong date, same problem. I just hope Capcom doesn’t confuse the number 200 with 2,000 like they did at the Manhattan venue last time.

You can probably just show up sans invite and still get in if you’re early.

At the Brooklyn one, IE the one that was organized correctly they honored people on the list and then let the people who just showed up inside. Everyone got in.

At the Manhattan one, IE the disastor the list went to the winds and they let whoever was on line in, little by little so long as you were there early enough. Some people invited / on the list did not get in and were told to go home.

The location is kind of a secret so they don’t tell you where is until a day or two before the event. But the internet will know if you keep an eye out.

Best advice? Get on Facebook, Capcom-unity or whatever and catch an invite. Then show up as early as you can. They give out invites like hot cakes. That way you’re covered either way.
