First and foremost although I am waiting to hear from capcom themselves to validate this announcement I would like to say…

HA!!!!! To all you naysayers and skeptics who doubted that this was Capcom’s true intentions from the start and “I told you so” to the idea that I proposed that Capcoms purposely released MVC3 early in order to both keep the hype for the game alive and by themselves some time for the game that obviously had a ways to go before it was full complete. And so they could use the consumers as beta testers for the game so that we instead of they could weed out all of the glitches and broken mechanics of the game so that everything was picture perfect when the REAL MVC3 game came out.

Also, in response to the “We need strider” video that clockwork, Maximillion, etc made you guys finally got your wish lol

ANyways, EXTREMELY happy that this was FINALLY announced and I sure as heck expect the price tag for those who already purchased and basically beta tested the game for them to be of a lower price (for the new characters of course) like $15/$20 or less and full price for everyone else. They will def do this if they know the taste that this last iteration left in everyones mouth.

Ghost Rider’s “Slowly driving my motorcycle into you” super is probably the funniest one I’ve seen

xfactor in the air(no more chip phoenix on the way in) and ryus super is smaller but ricochets off the wall. Hawkeye was a poor choice when we have a guy who already STOLE HIS MOVES.

There is some interesting things to note about this trailer

1. Ryu’s Hadouken super is smaller but it has reflect properties

2. I could be wrong on this…but I think Taskmaster has a new move added. Same with Spencer. I can’t really say for sure since I don’t main them. If I’m wrong, please correct me on this.

3. It seems Ghost Rider has normals’ speed that can be compared to Wesker

Seems generally speaking people have more life or do less damage. Hypers seem to pack a larger wallop and xfactor was done IN the air but also seem to loose it’s punch too. Storm was pretty dang low when Firebrand activated xfactor and she didn’t die in like 2 hits.

Hawkeye really ? well at least the rest weren’t horrible choices.

You are correct on number 2. In addition Storm now seems to have “wind pushing” abilities,, similar to Rachel from BlazBlue.

I was watching videos and i noticed a couple things
- Tron’s fire assist is no longer invincible
- X- Factor is now able to be activated in the air
- Firebrand is OP
- Strider is the new wolverine but he doesn’t need assists
This game seems like they nerfed all the good ppl in the last one and buffed all the bad ppl. Lol they pretty much just “Pulled and AE”

Cool for the people hyped, but I’m pissed because the game came out less than a year ago. Unless there’s an option for reduced price DLC I won’t be getting this. This is a crappy way to treat fans who got this game (and all others) at release day.

I think damage was toned down in this version, regular combos don’t seem to do as much damage until you add a super to them now. Also they fixed Tron’s assist, you can hit her out of it immediately now.

Let’s hope Iron Man gets some buffs!

Hawkeye is awesome! He’s got an attitude like Spiderman or Human Torch and he doesn’t have super powers. But he still takes down people with super powers. That makes him kinda a BA. He’s got all kinds of special arrows that he makes and has near perfect accuracy.

Spencer and Task definitely had new moves. Storm had the ‘wind push’ move before her throw, and Task ended his combo with a new move the skewer and shoot.
Im liking Joe’s new move though; a dodge you can super cancel. Has if the little bastard wasnt hard enough to hit already.

I love that at first Ghost Rider took too much RAMs. Now they seem to find an extra amount hiding behind the desk.

Ryu got a bouncing hyper and the tatsumaki hyper turns into a tornado.
Magneto got a fast pull move.
V.Joe got the vieutful evade, Like Dhalsin in SF4
Spencer got a dive smash that makes the enemy ground bounce.
Storm got a wind Pull, just like magneto.
Taskmaster got a Sword Pierce move.

The new Characters impressions:

Ghost Rider seems like a buffed version of Omega Red, with a very damaging Grab Lv 3 Hyper.
Strider Seems realy fast, Orobouros is Lv 3 now but it lasts mutch more than the MVC2.
Firebrand Got 2 power up Hypers, first one seems like super armor and the second one seems like a double like Zero Power Up, Also can easly get 3 lauchers ALONE.
Hawkeye got a plenty of specal arrows as poison, Ice, Explosive… His Hypers are a Arrow Shockwave, an strange hyper that give low damage (seems that it damage the red life or is umblocable) and the last seems highly damaging.

Capcom accidentally leaked characters on their website. Doctor Strange, Frank West, Iron Fist, Nemesis, Nova, Phoenix Wright, Rocket Raccoon and Vergil!

I was hoping they would add another Dark Phoenix type character in the roster as well..as to counter her somehow , and to make the game more irritating than it already is…

Am I the only one who thinks the new UI looks hideous? It’s nice that they make the X-Factor indicator more obvious, but it’s damn hard to tell how much time you have left.

Props to capcom for not putting in the been there done that characters of mvc2 the fanboys wanted (venom, gambit, psylocke, etc.), and also for not putting in meaningless characters ppl wanted like Emma frost, electra, squirrel girl, etc. They went with meaningful, ICONIC characters that rly matter in the marvel universe that deserve a chance to shine in a fighting game. As a comic fan (and reader) I can say capcom got it right, and dropped characters for comic fans, not just characters that may fit in a fighting game. Marvel is FINALLY well represented in a fighting game for once. Capcom side…..not too shabz either. I didn’t like vanilla mvc3 much, but this….I can fuck with this.

I’m pretty excited about paying forty dollars for an iteration of a sixty dollar game that’s not even a year old. Thought it was supposed to be ten more years, not several months before a new iteration of the same game.

Not that I’m mad that there will be an Ultimate MvC3. It just seems to me that MvC3 hasn’t had much of a life before this dropped. SF4 at least had like a year or two didn’t it?

I am glad there is an update or a entirely new game to be had but why so soon Capcom? I am a little suspect of Capcom’s notion that certain online features couldn’t not be added in the original.

SFIV, say what you will about the game but at least we waited a year for arcade port to the console – not only was it an arcade port, but better because we gotten extra characters. And with SSFIV we had the option of DLC or a disc version, but never in console history we had a game update that came out or announce in less than year, let alone 6 months.

SNK held off on announcing console KODXIII to avoid releasing around SF4 AE…..they’re probably like FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU right now.

I can see Venom not getting in because thats just marvel being dickish and saying your either getting Anti-Venom or Flash Thompson but they have NO good reason for Megaman (OG, X or EXE,) not getting in.

1. X factor doesnt give more damage on normals just Supers, It meant as just a combo extender
2. It can be used in the, I believe via super only or by air dashable characters
3. Orbs dont chip… but do build meter
4. Side TAC steals 1 meter away from opponet
5. The overall damage done in this game is less meaning more of a mixup/mindgame aspect instead of 1touch kills.

shoulda traded this stupid game in last month when amazon was trading for $26. this is the wrong move by capcom and i’m thinking this will neuter what was left of mvc3. msot people are not going to by this game. people who were previous fans of mvc2 probably will, but not the newcomers. terrible move by capcom. people sorta expect capcom to update sf, but now they’re doing it with marvel (a game that they said would be updated via dlc). from now on, anyone who buys sfxtekken, or any other capcom fighter day one is wasting $60 dollars.

My friend finally went and bought the MvC3 almost a month ago
after watching all the crazy competition vids leading up to Evo
and wanted to get better instead of only playing me on my system each time
