MK9 – Noob and Smoke Klassic Outfits Trailer

While the male ninjas tend to have the least interesting klassic costumes in Mortal Kombat 9, at least NetherRealm is letting you get at Noob and Smoke’s for free in the July 5th compatibility pack. Check the trailer below to see them in action.

  • Exalted-1

So every ninja gets 3 costumes while Cyber Sub is still at one……

  • Tim Static

    Use his Alternate Human costume.

  • Blacksonic21

    Can’t argue with free.

  • PattDaBaker

Wait, wouldn’t classic smoke look like classic cyrax and sektor, since in all the other mortal kombat games smoke is a robot.

    • IIDX advocate

Smoke was human in his first appearance in mk2.

    • Shoryu Reppa

Humansmoke was in umk3 and was the best character in the game

    • darth_nevermore

cyber smoke had a different move set, making him as different as cyber sub zero and vanilla sub zero

  • Jakelin

Free is a very good price. Hopefully this patch will solve all of the sync issues people are having. The online is so much better now, the syncing really is the only thing holding it back.

  • h1tm0nl33

I got 2 words for ya: Stay Down!

  • tmt

this is very cool and i was wanting old school smoke & noob, but i also really hope they bring in Cyber Smoke & Unmasked Subby(mk3)

smoke was the best of the robots imo…..seeing a cyber scorpion would be pretty pimp aswell

  • stanz3000

YeSSS! Free Klassic outfit for Noob and smoke. I second the idea of having an unmasked Subzero (NRS can make it happen!)

    • Iceman3026

      ewwww unmasked

  • TheTHCGamer

It shouldnt be a big deal but in terms of fighting games giving free costumes on consoles is something you hardly ever see. Maybe capcom should take note then give away some free costumes themselves or at least give us a huge discount.

    • Doc Strange

SF costumes =/= MK costumes. When you buy a costume pack for SF you get 5 different models each with 12 different textures. On the other hand, take, say, the pre-release pack for MK and you only get 2 models, one with 8 textures and one with 6. A LOT more work (and thus cost) goes into an SF costume pack.

NRS – Fix the fucking practice mode….Even if you don’t give a shit about MK sign the petition….

  • Bebop129

WHERE THERE IS SMOKE, THERE IS ME NOT LOOKING FUCKING STUPID ANYMORE.

  • Diernes

Not sure why anyone cares about these the new designs for all the male ninjaz are 100x better.

    • Doc Strange

It’s because a lot of us are old as shit.

    • Tim Static

      False.

  • Cibernetico

I like em, bu tI seriously wish the classic Noob Costume was really the original were it was completely black.

  • HellBroke

I;d really like to get some better alternate colors Neather Realm, some character doubles matches are just really confusing.

    • ANewChallenger

This. Would it kill them to say, invert the color areas? IE – Scorp’s default stays black with yellow highlights, his alt color could be yellow with black highlights.

  • guitalex2007

*sigh* NRS, this is a bad idea. (I’m aware they won’t read this but I will vent just in case.)

You need to make the compatibility packs a REQUIREMENT. As in, patch the game and force people to have this patch.

I bought Skarlet day 1, and since then I’ve only been able to play it against half the people online because they either don’t care for the costumes or don’t even know how to get them. This has become such a nuisance that I’ve had to prerecord messages telling people where to download them.

Then I thought it was the PSN people, but when I got it for 360, the compatibility packs are just as optional there, and the same situation emerges.

FORCE THE DOWNLOADS. DON’T MAKE THEM OPTIONAL.

  • metaphist

Correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t classic Noob be nothing more than a shadow? Why’d they go reggo ninja on him, kinda lame…
