KoFXIII – Console Release Date and Billy Kane

A scan from Famitsu Magazine and some information from SiliconEra seem to confirm that King of Fighters XIII is coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in Japan on October 27th. Players in the United States will have to wait until Atlus publishes a localized version this holiday season.

New to the home version of the game will be playable character Billy Kane, online play, mission and story modes. Check out the scan below!

  Companies release a console version quite a while after the arcade version so that arcade owners have enough time to earn back that money (arcade cabs are expensive). It’s extra incentive to go play the arcade version.
  
  If the company releases both arcade and console version at the same time, more people will play the console version instead of the arcade version and the arcade owners will get less profit. I doubt these companies want to piss off arcade owners.

    its probably because it takes time to translate everything cause they are working strictly in japanese. If they know its going to be going to NA why aren’t there english writers at the storyboard meetings

AMAZING!!!!….also in other pic Ash is fighting in a new stage…their also adding more stages and characters!!!……since Billy have his KOF ’95 look and the other character found in the KOF XII disc data was Iori ’98 that means he will make an appearance as well and if they add Eiji Kisaragi they will make the KOF ’95 “Rival Team” again…

Well, I was kinda hoping for Malin, Momoko and Oswald to return – but I’d be more than happy with Billy if it meant Yamazaki and Mary would be coming along for the ride.

Buying the game either way, so it doesn’t really matter.

I always wanted Billy and yamazaki for console characters. It made sense that if they did add console characters that they would be at the top of the list because they’re fan favorites. Now if I can can get my sweet Vanessa this will be the only game I’ll play for the rest of my life

I think if Billy’s in, Yamazaki will follow suit. Plus, we ALL wanted Yamazaki. It was overwhelmingly so!

I think either Gato or mary will fill up that third spot, if they’re doing console chars by team.

I don’t see Rock coming at all. Geese would be nice though.

As much as I’d wish, I don’t see the New Face team coming either. That would also mean their Orochi counterparts, and that’s 6 characters right there.

I heard about a Chang sprite. Who would he team up with if Kim’s with Hwa Jai and Raiden?

Oswald and Momoko should not go to waste.
The only other people I can see Momoko teaming up with are possibly Malin and Hinako (if not Kasumi).

Much speculation! I have a feeling this one will be packed with goodies. I may wait to see if there’s a collector’s edition before I preorder. This is DEFINITELY a 1st day purchase for me.

adeklheid was boring, dont know why anybody would want him over yamazaki? geese on the otheer hand, or krauser, they would be really nice additions. also silber and gai where quite awesome in xi. anhel, mary and vanessa should make an all female agents team.
