MvC3 – C.Viper Tips and Tricks

C.Viper is definitely one of the most difficult characters to play properly in Marvel vs Capcom 3. Gottnoskill wants to help you, the Viper hopeful, with this combo and mixup tutorial video. It covers a lot of information on the side bar while showing off some of Viper’s intense combos. Some of this information might require you to do a little outside research, however.

  • HowDoIZone

Viper is a monster…not many characters can do 900k with only 1 meter…

and watching Rekkoha(sp?) come from the sky with that skrull glitch is pretty good looking!

  • Sleazoid

super skrull is the highlight of every video, including this one

    • Dander

      ^like

    • Spectaa

At the ends I felt like watching a FFVIII summon.

  • phantasy

    this is really cool

  • UrbaneVirtuoso

But mom, this takes too much effort!

  • Darksteel

    I just got mindfucked

  • DietDrKelp

Pretty much if viper isnt played anything like this video, she wont be played at all. Nice to see her burn kick finally had some mixup potential like in sf4.

  • J-ride

Impressive! I wish I had that level of viper skill.

  • Dogma

Watched tis about three times now, its still fucking epic win.

  • janoDX

    Viper is now TOP TIER…

    • TNB

      like she wasn’t before?
she’s a character in a marvel game with ex moves, a one character guard break and potential that is out of this world. she has depth and power above most of the cast, period.

    • MegaMettaurX

The ammount of work it takes for viper to that stuff knocks her down from the tier list. But she is still really good.

  • Zmoney2006

Nerf Viper… She is far too bro… … XD ok Im sorry but I just couldn’t finish it lol Viper is so godlike though. Shoutouts to MarlinPie.

  • TNB

    old school rock n roll
    ohhhhhhhhhhh yesss!

  • hensin-go-go

better show some of these at some EVO moments coming up

  • Sir_Flawless

This just looks amazing. When I finally do get this game, one of my two teams is going to be Dante Viper Zero… I already know I’m gonna be in the lab for an eternity just to learn those characters… But wow Viper just looks amazingly tough to use, but thats nothing to be discouraged about. This guy didn’t know or have the execution skills to pull of these combos in the past, but he spent time in the lab and worked on it and now we see the results. Cant wait to see more videos showing off Vipers potential..

  • Romancer

I think this video explains, in entirety why Viper is the best character Capcom has ever made. Ever. If she’s not in SFxT I am not even going to bother taking that game seriously.

    • kingsharkboi

Definitely one of the best I have to say. She and Ibuki have awesome movesets, playstyles, and mixups that just make you proud of yourself for mindfuking people with skillz. Well, at least more than most of the other sf/mvc cast. Glad Viper is in Marvel.

    • Missing Person

I’m inclined to agree, shockingly. She is an amazing character with so many tools, and I just don’t see many people using her to her full potential which is sad. But a good viper in Marvel and SF4 is a beautiful thing to watch. Shouts to Wolfkrone.

  • Pertho

Viper is a really shitty Street Fighter character and a great Marvel one. She would be better off in Guilty Gear or BlazBlue.

    • Panic Ave

Shitty SF character, really dude? Lol.

      • Pertho

Because of the way Viper works, it pretty much ensures that only a handful of people can get any type of decent practice against the character. More characters like Viper and the SF4 iteration of Gen are generally worse for the community. But whatever, people just want to see gimmicks all over the place.

Not saying that Wolfkrone is less of a play for choosing her, the guy is beyond solid and very good player. Viper, on the other hand, and the design decisions that went into making the character are incredibly backwards.

        • CHomes

I personally think it’s great to see characters that take alot of execution to get high rewards on them. It just means that they are worth picking up in the end and the hard work you put into learning them pays off. Some characters have footsies others have gimmicks etc.

Like Dudley for example, Marn did amazing with him, even though the execution to use him was high, he has amazing damage and so many possibliities to be a great character but few use him because of the 1f links that he has to pull off.

I love watching characters like that, it shows you what hard work and learning can do. Also knowing the match ups and frame data never hurt no body =p.

          • ukyo_rulz

Agreed. I always try to maximize the hard work I put into the games I play.

        • Sir_Flawless

There is nothing wrong with having a character that takes time to get good with. Just because some people are lazy and don’t wanna put in the time to learn a character with tons of potential does not mean the character sucks. It would make sense that a character that is potentially top tier would take some time in the lab to make work right. If there is any type of character that is bad for the community, its Wolverine type characters. His combos are so incredibly easy to do and they take off so much damage.

          • TooItchy

            This times 10,000

  • New Era Outlaw

I’ll admit, those combos are awesome, but I still regard C. Viper as a waste of a character slot.

    • TooItchy

Viper is one of the most creative chars in marvel. She fits so perfecty, the game is still new, give it time, Vipers will emerge, and she will become one of the lasting great chars in the game. Marvel needs more chars like her, as does SF now that I think about it.

  • Shinkada

And then the DHC glitch was fixed and the great Viper overlords forced everyone into slavery.

  • Cillranchelllo

I’d like to know what these combos can be confirmed off of, it seems like some of these look they they require very specific setups.

  • ProjectNeo2501

Some boss stuff…I love characters like this. Missin my Rolento.

  • Sensei Rouzu

Damn this makes me wish I had the game now. Vipe was my main SSF4. I’d love to smash some more people with her in this game.

  • xShonuffx

Doing the Gyeser cancels is hard, if I can master this so I am consistant my Viper game would skyrocket. Im tired of doing the same old boring combo. Hopefully I nail the execution with more practice.
