MvC3 – Deadpool Merc Perk II Combo Video

Caj814′s Merc Perk was a funy, jazzy little Marvel vs Capcom 3 combo video. And it is now, apparently, a series of combo videos. Part II focuses on Deadpool starters for the “Merc Perk” team of Deadpool, Dante, and Taskmaster.

hmm using DHC trick and killing one character w/ multiple supers? Is this really worth a front page post? I even saw some aerial exchanges and resets so this barely qualifies as a combo.

^ here we have an textbook example of an troll ^

    • Minerva_SC

You mean a really mediocre troll. Get only my level.

also, first thing I noticed was the cowboy bebop music, so this was godlike regardless.

      • Dander

I was going to side with the first poster, but you’ve got a point with the cowboy bebop music.

  • Akusoru

I’m Ready for Merk Perk III. needs more DeadPool

  • Luckydude23

What’s the name of the song in the video? Need to find it!

    • Travis Epic

Its the Cowboy Bebop Music :P

    • b3nz0r

Pretty sure at the beginning of the video, at the bottom, they tell exactly what song it is.

Not trying to be a dick just trying to point it out for you.

  • Capn Spanky

I’ve seen the song called “Rush,” or “NY Rush.” Hope that helps!

  • Hellfromabove

No one that plays Deadpool or wastes meter up the ass is going to be placing top 8 at Evo. I agree with the first poster here, pointless combo videos are pointless.

Since when are combo videos practical? They’re usually intended to just show you new ideas with the game mechanics. With that mentality, you’d still be doing Day 1 combos.

  • OldSchool99

The only disappointing part is that a combo only looks like game play but no thinking is required besides memorization. Still good music and I always liked faster characters.

    Keyphrase: Combo Video

Stop bitching about how it’s impractical to use in tournaments. Combos from combo videos aren’t always practical, they’re just flashy most of the time. People make them to show ideas and other people get ideas from them. There’s no need to bash this video, it just turns out you’re stupid enough to do so based on a fail argument. If you want shit that will help you in tourney here’s some advice:

    Wolverine, Phoenix, DHC glitch.

Now go put on the dunce trollhat and sit in a corner.

  • Action Kazimer

Without even seeing the combos, the Bebop soundtrack makes this video a winner.

Ok quick opinion just throwing out there. Sorry, but gotta play devils advocate here.

In response to Super Scrub, I understand what you are saying in your comment about combo videos being practical. They are not always created with practical uses for online/tourney play in mind and are usually just concoctions created to show what they have learned or come up with on their studies and experimentation with their character. This allows those who may have a limited amount of creativity to be able to use, modify, and create their very own combos and combinations with characters that they share. Totally understand that logic and agree.

Flip side however. The majority of the people who search out these combo videos off of SRK and the like are usually looking for one of two things: 1) Practicality. People want to see things combos and combinations that they can utilize with their character and that have a reasonable to very rewarding payout for proper utilization. They want combos that they can take to the lab to practice endlessly so they can get that end reward for their execution. and 2) High Reward. Seeing a combo that burns 3 or more hypers to kill off one character while flashy and possibly very entertaining are hardly useful in any type of practical situation and in some ways can be deemed excessive and wasteful. While yes some of the combo videos created are not meant to be practical for usage, it’s hard to enjoy a video that seems to do everything possible to go against the principle of practicality and that seems to have absolutely no point other than just because it can be done. It’s especially questioning when it’s covered on the front page of a site filled with practical technology for all different sorts of situations and circumstances (i.e. this video here). Flashiness is fine but when nothing in the video is salvageable in any sense, it can make the viewer feel the video to be useless and a waste to watch.

Again, I am all for creativity don’t get me wrong but to bash people who come to the site to see practical and innovative technology when there is so much to see and then getting this… Kind of a let down.

In the sense of a combo video that is just fun to watch and admire the amount of execution being shown, I personally enjoyed this video very much. Just saying that in terms of practicality, not much was shown here.

  • GoBot Gabe

I personally think Merc Perc 2 1/2 is better. That’s the one that should’ve been posted!
