ESFIworld.com ran an interview today with the founder of Complexity Gaming, Jason Lake. The topic, of course, was their recently announced partnership with Cross Counter’s Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez and Mike Ross, and entry into the world of competitive fighting games as a sponsored team.

Lake talks about how he met Gootecks and Ross, what their partnership will mean, and how he feels in general about fighting games and the eSports world. Lake said in the interview about the community’s perception of eSports;

“Perhaps they dislike the phrase “eSports” but when I turn on a stream and join 15,000 other people watching a screaming room of gamers it says eSports to me. At the end of the day, it’s semantics but compLexity admires the FGC and is looking forward to doing our part to help it grow. With the leadership of Ryan and Mike at the helm of the division I’m confident we will have good things to contribute.”
