  • Tranquillity

    sweet.

  • airking888

cool cool, i was just wondering about this.

  • Travis Epic

    FRAME DATA!

  • Theli

No Oni/E. Ryu frame data till the end of the month?

  • Krackatoa

+1 on block… until it lands meaty. Then it’s like what? Up to +9?

  • MeLLoW

Just what I needed.. thanks a lot.

  • Shadowfire

The news story should mention it’s only partly updated.

Obvious example: The AE changes section for Dan lists his close standing LP as now starting up in 3 frames, and the table immediately below says 4.

  • DeathByPoke

    No E. Ryu frame data : (

  • error1

where did this frame date come from? I’ve never seen it credited to anyone

    • naGoo

If you look through the Wiki history, you can see that SRK’s own sean gilley updated the frame data. I believe he ported the data from the Japanese AE mook and through his own expert findings.

      • error1

makes sense, as oni and e.ryu where not released when it came out

  • JDM98Ferio

Probably from the Japanese book that has been out. Not sure the name?

  • D-Proto

all i want is Oni frame data, and its not here

  • Frozen316

So how come we don’t have Mvc3 frame data if we can get AE frame data?

    • Handbanana9592

      Because MvC3 isn’t a serious fighting game.

      • xShonuffx

Well that shows exactly how much you know about fighters at all. There is frame data and frame advantage can be the differance between life or death in MvC3 and anyone who does not take the time to study it will remain free always.

If you have characters that have neg frames on block, rush down characters can punish with just a c.A into their 100% kill combo. Smart players will use assist to cover these attacks so they can move around the stage freely without getting stuffed.

True it’s mostly for punishes but it’s good to know if a certain attack may leave you vunerable to certain things so you can build a team around that.

    • Kikuichimonji

It’s in the guide but honestly frame data for marvel doesn’t matter as much unless it’s for punishes.

      • Shadowfire

Frame data matters immensely in Marvel when people are whipping it out to make confusing arguments to support their claim that Sentinel is balanced.

But other than that yeah, you just need to know whether or not something is reasonably punishable, or whether a grapple is 1 frame or not, etc.

    • TooItchy

MVC3 frame data is in the Brady guide, but it’s not very important to be honest. In SF, frame data is 1000x more critical.

    • Xenogenesis

Marvel frame data is in the guide, but since the people who made the guide are in the community, SRK is holding off while the game/guide are still early out of respect.

  • SnakeAes

Who do we talk to about mistakes in the wiki? Oni’s Rakan Dantojin, his forward moving palm slice move, is Half-Circle Forward, not Quarter-Circle.

    • Kikuichimonji

I think you can edit it yourself if you make an account.

  • Diernes

WTF are you talking about, I am looking at a whole bunch of frame data for MVC3 in the book I’m holding in my hands right now ….

  • HaHussle

will there be a mobile version ?

  • Mecha-Heretic

The frame data for Yun should just read “Go ahead and throw this move out, you’ll be fine. Here, have some brainless frame traps for your trouble. Congrats on picking a winner.”

  • infamous_87

I reeeeeaaallllyyyy hope that they make a Challenge mode for the 4 new characters. I get really OCD about things not being even/complete when it comes to certain things. The fact that I enter challenge mode and see that Yun, Yang, E. Ryu, and Oni don’t have challenges although there in the game makes me want to turn it off and not play. O_o

    • PC Jona

      yea you have problems.

    • TrollThisSRK

You’d think someone so obsessed with perfection would at least use the proper form of there/their/they’re.

  • BeUnbound

Waiting on the frame data for the new characters.

  • shinblanka

Someone was smoking some drugs when they made the blanka frame data. Blanka being able to cancel into special moves off of his far HK or crouching HP DOES NOT WORK! If it does work show me in a vid. He can cancel into a super, but special move cancel. Maybe the hit and block stun are correct, but i wonder about the rest of blanka’s frame data do this mis-information.

  • Logia

It’s fair to point out there’s a few errors with the frama data. 2nd hit of Yang’s hard slashes aren’t -6 on hit.

I don’t know if his medium palm is really -5 on hit, though. Certainly didn’t feel like it, I guess I’ll test it out later.

    • gilley

Yes, I have discovered there’s a few errors in the AE mook. When I translated everything, I wasn’t able to test if things worked or not. This would take a ridiculous amount of time to do. Eventually all the errors will be corrected.

In case anyone is wondering, I translated the numbers from the mook. Other people are going to have to help translating the notes section because I really dont know Japanese.

  • Ultima

Whoa wait: There’s a mook for AE? Damn, I’ve been out of the loop! I need to snag that!

  • shinblanka

I’m not here to diss the frame data list. Just pointing out somethings with the character I like to play with. I’m sure these oversites can be corrected. List are made to be revised. ;)

  • shinblanka

Also please change that blanka can cancel special and super moves from crouching MK. TY.

  • shinblanka

As of right now it states he can’t cancel into special move out of crouching MK and we all know that is false.
