Super Street Fighter IV AE Problems

We have been made aware of some problems for players who have downloaded the title digitally as opposed to having a disc based game on hand. The digital copy of Super Street Fighter IV isn’t being prompted for a title update when you sign on to the game. In turn, this makes the newly released DLC error out “Data is corrupt”.  There is nothing wrong with the DLC you bought, it just can’t activate in game.

Capcom Europe responded on twitter saying a fix is in the works and will be up shortly.

NINJA EDIT: Looks like the PSN AE Download is up and ready to go, you might have to search for it in the store to see it.

      Well Capcom is the one that ported it i called Microsoft to get some answers as to why we didnt get the update and they said they reall have nothing to do with the actual coding of DLC. So yea replace that microsoft with “Capcom”

    I’ve got the same problem, set me back about an hour last night from playing AE figuring out what was up, ended up deleting the On Demand version and just installing the disc copy of SSFIV I have and then AE worked. Hope the fix comes soon all the same though.

    Capcom Europe said SSFIV:AE will be released WEDNESDAY for Europe, as that is then the Euro store gets updated regularly, so expect it around 6-8pm GMT.

    Why do none of you know when the store updates?

    When I went to the PS store, I saw the E3 logo above the “Welcome back” logo, so i hit it, and then went to the Street Fighter franchise page on the right. Hit that and bought AE.

    Maybe the reason for the PS3 version to have such a huge storage because it has the two other extra characters hidden…!!! It is fucking possible for there to be two other characters other than what they told us.

I woulda liked to have gotten my main, or at least my choice of 8, as opposed to just being given the first 8 in order.     SSF4 update was 21mb, loaded then told me AE was out. Searched in the store under “View all titles” then bought the add-on plus the 8-bit avatars. Says AE is 1.5gigs

    This is on PSN btw.

    Well they finally acknowledged the problem on capcom’s site and said they are working on a patch for it. Hopefully they figure it out sometime soon.

    The DLC works for players with SSFIV on disk, but not for those of us who have purchased it via Xbox Live’s Games on Demand service.

    Anyone else having this problem on PSN? I start the DLC download, but it keeps restarting; usually once it gets to 400+ mb :( This has happened a few times now already. None of my other PS Store downloads were affected in this way.

    I also have a problem with my AE download because i bought my ssf4 on xbox. The wait is a little aggravating, but they gave me my money back on the 2000 MP i bought yesterday for the 1600mp download. i had to call them though.
